Carbon Reduction Plan

Commitment to Achieving Net Zero

Everest Work is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Baseline Year: 2024

Additional Details: The baseline emissions were calculated using 2024 data as the first reporting year. Scope 3 categories include business travel, waste generated in operations, upstream transport and distribution, and downstream transport and distribution.

EMISSIONSTOTAL (tCO2e)
Scope 10.00
Scope 22.77
Scope 3 (Included Sources)1.25

Scope 3 Breakdown

  • Employee Commuting: 1.10 tCO2e (Based on 5 employees commuting 3 days a week).
  • Paper Usage: 0.115 tCO2e (Reduction achieved through digital transformation).
  • Business Travel: ~0.02 tCO2e (Primarily remote meetings via Zoom/Teams; minimal rail travel).
  • Waste Generated: ~0.01 tCO2e (Office recycling program in place).
  • Upstream/Downstream Distribution: 0.00 tCO2e (Service-based business).

Emissions Reduction Targets

In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.

We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 3.6 tCO2e by 2029. This is a reduction of 10%.

Carbon Reduction Projects

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives

The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2024 baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes equate to approximately 0 tCO2e (at this stage), and the measures will be in effect when performing against this contract.

  • Digital Transformation: Full adoption of Zoho and cloud-based platforms for document management, significantly reducing paper-related emissions.
  • Recycling: Comprehensive office waste management and electronics recycling program.
  • Commuting: Implementation of a hybrid work policy to reduce employee commuting emissions.

Future Carbon Reduction Initiatives

In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:

  • Engaging with landlords for renewable energy guarantees for office space.
  • Transitioning company-incentivized vehicles to 100% Electric (EV).
  • Prioritizing suppliers with their own robust Carbon Reduction Plans.
  • Achieving and maintaining paperless office status.

Declaration and Sign Off

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standards for Carbon Reduction Plans.

Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting.

Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
